Greenwich Town Tips

Click  HERE  for my curated list of best local restaurants in town!

Greenwich Train Stations & Parking Permits

You can apply for a parking permit by clicking  here, and while you’re waiting for the permit, you can use the daily parking spots for $5/day. Zones for day parking can be found in the train station maps. Consider using the ParkMobile app to avoid paying at the kiosks.

Change of Address

Ensure that you update the CT DMV records as well as the address on your driver’s license. Instead of ordering a new driver’s license, consider stopping by the Greenwich Police Department to save time. They can provide you with an address label that you can complete with your new address and stick to the back of your driver’s license!

Residential Parking

There are some designated residential streets reserved for residents only. Residents must have a resident decal visible on their car. Click here for details on Residential Parking Permits.

Paying the Meter

No quarters for the meter?  No problem.  Pay the meter from your phone.  Check out more details here.

Park and Beach Passes and Guest Passes

I encourage you to apply for a Park Pass (which covers Greenwich parks and beaches) as soon as possible.  There are four beautiful public beaches in Greenwich available only to Greenwich residents: Tod's Point (a.k.a. Greenwich Point), Byram Beach, Island Beach and Great Captain's Island (both island beaches accessible by the  town ferry ).  You will only need to show passes in the warmer months, typically May 1st until November 1st.  Visit this link for details on applying for your park passes and for more information on guest passes.

Greenwich Newcomers Club

Join the Greenwich Newcomers Club and meet other newcomers at their recurring coffees, lunches, or seasonal events. You could also bring your kids to Friday play dates to meet other little newcomers in town. Don’t miss their fabulous resources page located here.
